I have several users who want to be able to use their laptops while travelling but not connected to compose emails; and then to be able to simply connect to WiFi at their destination (say an airport lounge) and send what's in their outbox and receive anything new.

They want to use the standard classic client if they can.

Currently they have to setup a VPN to our firewall and connect to our server to do this, and that is too clunky. Is there a way to configure a gateway to enable send and receive in the same way that Mobility does for phones and tablets, or via a webmail interface ? They can use an iPad or something like that, but typically they want to view and attach files that are only on their laptops.

GW 2014R2 client 14.2

Any suggestions welcomed. Users note that their clients using Office 365 Outlook can do this effortlessly.
