    File Reporter 3.5 Now Available

In case you missed it, we released File Reporter 3.5 last week. Probably the biggest new feature in the product is the ability to now do file content scanning. That means that if you’re an organization facing GDPR, or other regulations pertaining to privacy and you need to identify files containing personal information, we can now help you out there.

File content scanning requires the use of some new components including an AgentFC (FC meaning “File Content”) and ManagerFC. The new product also includes an updated Agent – AgentFS, (FS for “File System” scanning). AgentFS fixes a problem that existed with the legacy Agent for Windows when Data Deduplication was enabled on some Windows Server machines.

You can download the new version from the Customer Center.

The new product documentation is located here.
