    IP Address Exceptions

    I need to add a few ranges of ip address to the spam exception so test
    messages from our email monitoring service don't get caught as a false
    positve. The instructions only say "Add multiple addresses to the list
    by placing them on their own individual lines."

    Has anyone tried adding a range like 76.54.321.0/24 ?

    I tried this and immediately it started letting all the spam through no
    matter what the sending IP address is. I'm hoping there is a way to
    enter a block of ip's so we don't have to enter in each ip in the /24
    for it to work.

    According to the docs, you should be able to enter an ip address or
    range. But they don't state the format for the range. I'm checking
    to see if I can find out what it is.

    I was told from a reliable source that you can use CIDR notation. So
    I'm not sure why you had the problem you did. It should work. Are
    you fully patched? You sure you had the policy correctly created? If
    you can't get it to work, you might want to consider an SR.

    we were behind on patches - installed up to date this morning
    we'll try again and open an SR if we can't get it to work - just wanted
    to make sure we weren't spinning our wheels trying something unsupported
